Application Kit
To become a broker with MetLife Home Loans , a division of MetLife Bank, N.A., please follow the steps below:
1. Download and complete the following documents (PDF format)
- Application Checklist
- Wholesale Broker Application
- Mortgage Broker Agreement
- W9 Form
- Power of Attorney
- Certification and Credit Authorization
- Corporate Resolution, if applicable
- Ownership Affidavit
- Loan Fraud Zero Tolerance (Word File)
- Wholesale Broker's Quality Control procedures or Quality Control Procedures Questionnaire (Word File)
- Broker Compensation Form
- SSO User Administration form
2. Provide copies of the following documents:
- License
- Resumes of the principal officers of your company
- Audited Financial Statements or signed tax returns for previous two years and most recent year-to-date balance sheet and P&L statement signed and dated by Wholesale Broker.
- Errors and Omissions/Fidelity Bond coverage for a minimum of $300,000 or as required by state, if applicable.

Subsequent Branch Approvals
Each branch of the broker is not required to be individually approved or assigned a broker number to originate and submit loans to MetLife Home Loans. A branch may be assigned a separate and distinct broker number upon request once their corporate office has been approved.
Branch Approval Procedures
Each branch location must be identified and the following information provided:

Branch
Application Form (PDF format) must be completed and signed by
a Branch Manager certifying that the branch is authorized to submit loans to
MetLife Home Loans under the corporate agreement and that the branch is
licensed according to state requirements.

Copy of Mortgage Broker License for any state in which the branch will be
originating loans for delivery to MetLife Home Loans.
To become a MetLife Home Loans Mini Correspondent Client
Brokers who want to close and fund their own loans must complete the following steps to join our organization as a mini-correspondent:

Download and complete the
Application Kit Include all forms and attachments, including the Correspondent Loan Purchase and Sale Agreement
- Attach copies of the following documents to the application (if applicable):
- Quality Control Procedures with most recent three months audit reports.
- Certificate of Insurance for Errors and Omissions and Fidelity Bond Coverage for a minimum of $300,000.
- Audited financials for the previous 2 years and the most current set of quarterly interim financial statements.
- Organizational Charts
- Resumes of Principal Officers and Key Personnel
- Branch Listings
- Copy of Agency Approvals
- Most recent Score Cards
- Appraisal Independence and Management Policies and Procedures
